Too blessed to be stressed
Between acting gigs, magazine photo shoots and product endorsements, fresh-faced Singaporean actress Rebecca Lim manages to keep it all in check, thanks to her positive outlook on life. She knows that stress can be draining on the body and mind and swears by taking a multivitamin regularly to help keep her energised and on top of her game. “Swisse helps me perform at my best 24/7,” she says.
Simplified beauty routine
To keep her skin looking radiant, Rebecca follows a simple beauty routine consisting of little more than thoroughly cleansing, toning and moisturising. She also remains vigilant about protecting her skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays by applying sunscreen every three hours and covering up with a shawl, especially when she’s filming outdoors. Off duty, Rebecca also follows her mom’s lead.
“My mom is someone who really is beautiful inside and out. Most days she doesn’t even apply any makeup and she uses just the basic beauty products,” says Rebecca, adding that her mom taught her it’s best to “go sans make up whenever you can and drink plenty of water – and a great smile works wonders for beauty, too.”
Little kick starts to her day
We all look for little tips and tricks to enhance our health and daily lives. For Rebecca, she goes about it the natural way. Her morning routine begins by drinking a glass of warm lemon water, which is known to have many health benefits including cleansing the body and aiding in digestion.
After breakfast, she makes a habit of taking a comprehensive multivitamin to support her nutrition. It’s specially formulated for women and contains B vitamins, magnesium, iron and folic acid to maintain energy, as well as other ingredients to support immunity.
On top of this, Rebecca enjoys the benefits of a beauty formula brimming with vitamins and minerals designed to support healthy and beautiful hair, skin and nails.
Vitamin C is essential for collagen production and helps protect cells against free radicals. Zinc and Iron support strong and healthy nails, and Biotin is vital for growing naturally beautiful hair.
Everything in moderation
Rebecca doesn’t get weighed down by her hectic schedule and embraces a healthy attitude by doing things in moderation. She squeezes in a 15-minute jog when her schedule permits and she took up yoga to keep herself grounded.
“One of the many things my mom taught me was to never compare myself with others. You may want something that person has, but you may have many things many others would love to have as well,” Rebecca says. “She has always taught my siblings and I to just try our best at whatever we do and be content with whatever we have.”
