Use of Siberian ginseng may date back over 2,000 years in China. The active principles are thought to be glycosides of phenolic compounds.

Traditional Use/Functions:
Siberian ginseng has been used for the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Based on Health Canada monograph at a level 0.91-4.88 g dried equivalent, per day, is used in Herbal preparations to help improve mental and/or physical performance after periods of mental and/or physical exertion.
